Adjacent to the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center, this 31-story Sheraton Waikiki provides direct access to a half-mile stretch of Waikiki Beach. Its dining options include a fine-dining restaurant on the 30th floor with superb views, and a tapas-style bar with an extensive drink menu and fire pits, overlooking the Pacific Ocean.

Spread over 31 floors, the Sheraton Waikiki has 1,636 air-conditioned rooms with island decor, and sliding glass doors opening to lanai. All have shower/tub combinations, and signature Sheraton Sweet Sleeper Beds with a 13-inch pillowtop mattress, five down-and-feather pillows, duvets, and triple sheeting. All rooms have compact refrigerators and high-speed Internet access (surcharge).

Driving directions from Honolulu International Airport:

  • Take IH-1 eastbound.
  • Exit at Nimitz Hwy and follow the signs toward Waikiki.
  • Nimitz Hwy becomes Ala Moana Blvd.
  • Continue on Ala Moana Blvd until it merges with Kalakaua Ave.
  • Turn right onto Kalakaua Ave and stay to the right as the road splits.
  • Turn right onto Royal Hawaiian Ave and proceed to the hotel.


Getting there: Shuttles operate between the airport and Waikiki, charging $9–$20; shuttle reservations are recommended. When returning to the airport, shuttle reservations are essential. Taxis are widely available and cost $35–$40 to Waikiki.

Getting around: Around Waikiki, shows, shops, activities, beaches, and restaurants are generally within walking distance. The open-air Waikiki Trolley sells one-day, unlimited-travel passes with service to downtown, Waikiki, and along the coast. Oahu’s bus system offers connections around the island with fees starting at $2 for a one-way ticket. Most visitors with plans to venture away from Waikiki prefer rental cars. Car rentals are available online.
