The 180-unit structure was built in 1963, and two elevators lead to a modern, L-shaped rooftop sundeck with views of Diamond Head, Kapiolani Park, and Waikiki Beach. An outdoor pool is also located on site.
Luggage carts are available to guests. Coin-operated laundry facilities and a television are in the basement. The front desk staff assist with copying, faxing, and activities.
The Waikiki Grand Hotel complex is adjacent to a fast-food restaurant, and an alternative bar on the second floor has an ATM machine, complimentary wireless Internet access, and a high-speed Internet computer (surcharge). The shops, restaurants, and entertainment of Waikiki are steps away.
Self parking:
$14 per 24-hour period (fee subject to change). The basement parking lot has a secure garage plus an upper open-air level. Advance reservations are required. Guests may also park across the street at the park (not secure).

Rooms
The smoke-free, air-conditioned studios in this 10-floor, 180-unit residential condo complex are 300 square feet. Individually owned, they feature varying island décor. Sliding glass doors open to French balconies with city views.
All units have cable TV, microwaves, coffeemakers and compact refrigerators. Bathrooms have showers only or shower/tub combinations. Some units have kitchenettes. Room safes are available upon request. Local calls are complimentary.

Honolulu International Airport (HNL): Approximate driving time is 35 minutes and distance is 12 miles to the Waikiki Grand Hotel.
Getting there: Independent shuttles operating between the airport and Waikiki cost $9–$20. On arrival, shuttle reservations are not necessary, but recommended. On return, shuttle reservations are essential. Taxis are widely available and charge $25–$35 for travel to Waikiki.
Getting around: Around Waikiki, shows, shops, activities, beaches, and restaurants are generally within walking distance. Oahu’s bus system offers connections around the island with fees starting at $2 per day. Most visitors with plans to venture away from Waikiki prefer rental cars.
