Castle Poipu Shores, a Condominium Resort comprises 39 condominium units housed in three white-stucco, two- and four-story buildings. Overlooking the pool is a party room containing a soft-drink machine, food-preparation counters, a sink, and two dining sets. Behind the buildings is a barbecue area. Wireless Internet access is available in some public areas, at no charge. A mile west is famed Poipu Beach, considered one of America's best beaches. The S-shaped beach's lower loop is protected by a man-made reef, so water is calm. The upper loop offers surfing/boogie boarding. In between, there's great snorkeling among lava rocks around a small sand islet. To the east is Shipwreck Beach for surfing and beach walking. |

Rooms
Rare for condominium resorts on Kauai, all units face the ocean so it can be seen from inside units as well as from their patios and balconies. Each unit contains a living/dining room and a fully equipped kitchen. A washer/dryer and iron/ironing board come in handy. Cable TV and a VCR provide entertainment. Decor varies, but all units are suitably island-style. Ceiling fans and ocean breezes cool the rooms instead of air-conditioning.

Driving directions from Lihue Airport:
- From the airport exit, turn left on SR 51 (Kapule Hwy) and continue about one mile.
- Turn right on Rice St and continue on SR 50 for about 6.5 miles.
- Bear left onto SR 520 and follow it for about 11 miles.
- Continue on Hoonani Rd, then continue on Hoone Rd.
- Turn left on Pe'e Rd and proceed to the hotel at 1775 Pe'e Rd.
Getting there: The best option from the airport is a rental car, especially since most guests will want a car anyway for sightseeing. Taxis are also available for $26–$25. Fees subject to change without notice.
Getting around: This hotel's secluded location makes a rental car essential. Guest parking is complimentary.
