The hotel offers an activities desk for booking luaus, helicopter sightseeing trips, and golf times. Ten gas grills for guest use are scattered around the property. Access to the upper floor of the two-story buildings is by outside staircase, not elevators. |

Rooms
Guests units measure a generous 1,200 to 1,400 square feet and include fully equipped kitchens. Decor varies, but all units include patios or balconies furnished with dining tables and chairs. Cable TV, DVD players, and CD players provide entertainment. Situated several hundred feet above the ocean, rooms are cooled by ceiling fans and cross-ventilation. Driving directions from Keahole-Kona International: Follow signs to take Hwy 19 (Queen Kaahumanu Hwy) north for approximately 18 miles. Turn right on Waikoloa Rd and continue about 8 miles.
Getting there: The best option from the airport is a rental car. Taxis are also available (more than $36; fees subject to change without notice). Car rentals are available online.
Getting around: A rental car is essential for sightseeing on the Big Island. Guest parking at the hotel is complimentary.
